Details
A cooling bed for rebar can cool high-temperature (usually above 800℃) hot-rolled rebars to room temperature or the temperature required for subsequent processing under controlled conditions, while ensuring the straightness, mechanical properties and surface quality of the rebars.
Core functions
Controlling the cooling rate
When high-temperature rebars pass through the cooling bed, they need to be cooled according to specific cooling processes to avoid the formation of hard and brittle structures due to excessively fast cooling or coarse grains caused by excessively slow cooling, thereby ensuring that the rebars meet the mechanical properties specified in the standards.
Ensure the straightness of rebar
During the cooling process, rebars must be stably supported to reduce bending deformation caused by self-weight or temperature stress, laying a foundation for subsequent processes such as straightening and cutting.
Realize continuous production connection
The cooling bed is an important part of the hot rolling production line. It receives the rebars after being rolled by the rolling mill. After cooling, it conveys them to subsequent processes such as fixed-length shearing and packaging, achieving continuous production.
