Details
The speed reducer is an independent component composed of a gear drive, a worm drive or a gear - worm drive enclosed in a rigid shell, which is installed between the prime mover and the working machine to reduce the speed and increase the torque. It plays the role of matching the speed and transferring the torque between the prime mover and the working machine or the actuator, converting the high-speed and low torque output of the power source into low-speed and high torque input suitable for the working machine.
Principle:
By meshing the gear with fewer teeth on the input shaft with the larger gear on the output shaft, the speed is reduced by utilizing the ratio of teeth between the larger and smaller gears. The transmission ratio is the ratio of teeth between the larger and smaller gears.
